Our natural fine fragrances are now available as reed diffusers, to enhance your space with a continuous scent
There’s now a new way to bring some of nature’s most evocative aromas into your home, as Aja Botanicals has launched a range of natural reed diffusers to sit alongside our candle collection.
Available in the full range of Aja Botanicals fragrances, our diffusers contain the same expertly blended pure essential oils, and are presented in contemporary black or white glass vessels that perfectly complement our candle jars.
‘Diffusers are a great way to boost fragrance in your home or workplace, particularly if you aren’t able to burn candles there,’ says Tilly Wood, founder of Aja Botanicals.
Whether you want to transform your space with the warm, woody notes of Into the Mystic, the invigorating outdoorsy freshness of Dreams, the alluring floral notes of Hello, I Love You, or the smoky, earthy muskiness of Walk on the Wild Side, you’re sure to find a fragrance that works with your environment.
Each diffuser comes with a set of natural rattan reeds, which contain small pores that absorb the highly concentrated oil and then diffuse the aromas into the air through evaporation. Designed to provide a continuous background fragrance, Aja Botanicals diffusers will subtly scent interiors of all sizes for several months. ‘All you have to do is turn the sticks over every now and then to help release the fragrance,’ says Tilly.
Location is also key when it comes to the effectiveness of any diffuser. Tilly recommends placing diffusers in spaces with a high footfall. ‘If you put it in a lonely corner then you might not get as much from it,’ she explains. ‘But place a diffuser in a hallway and the movement of people walking past will help the fragrance disperse.’
Tilly also suggests using different fragrances for different rooms in your house, and even layering multiple scents together in one room. ‘I always have a candle and diffuser going in the same space,’ she says. ‘And actually, I think our different fragrances work well together. They’re all natural, after all, so it’s unlikely that they’re ever going to clash.’
As with all Aja Botanicals products, being environmentally conscious and sustainable is at the heart of what we do. Our diffuser bases are made from a non-toxic, bio-based solvent called Augeo®, which is developed from glycerin, a renewable source. The bases are fragranced with pure essential oils derived from nature’s finest flowers, berries, grass, roots, seeds, bark, fruit and herbs.
Just like our candle jars, our stylish glass diffuser bottles have been specially designed and are hand-blown in Istanbul. Once empty, they can be easily refilled multiple times (you can buy Aja Botanicals diffuser refills in our London pop-up shop now, or via our website from January) or even upcycled into a small vase.
Aja Botanicals diffusers are available in four exquisite scents – Into the Mystic, Hello, I Love You, Walk on the Wild Side and Dreams – and come in a 150ml black or white glass bottle with 10 matching reeds. They are beautifully packaged in fully recyclable boxes featuring vibrant pastel artworks by Chiara Perano, each one reflecting the unique character of that fragrance.
