Right now, I’m embracing alchemy, both in the fragrances we’re creating and in my own mindset.
I’ve been enjoying Regan Hillyer’s meditations on Mindvalley, which invite you to visualise your limiting beliefs as a dark ball of energy, then transform it into something golden and light. It’s a practice in seeing into the shadows and finding clarity. In my work, I’m doing the same, leaning into the areas of the business that I find a little more challenging so that we can keep growing.
As we move into Scorpio season, the energy shifts from Libra’s balance and harmony to something deeper, more mysterious and transformative. Scorpio asks us to look beneath the surface, to honour change and to embrace the magic this time of year brings. With the veil between worlds at its thinnest, it’s a time to release what no longer serves us and welcome renewal.
This is a season for introspection and creativity. I’m finding joy in my early morning walks in the woods with the crisp air and autumn leaves, and in the hands-on process of developing a bespoke scent for the Bagatelle hospitality group. Building mood boards, gathering inspiration and creating a special playlist for, and collaborating with, our perfumer is so uplifting and inspiring. Building the energy around a new project is such fun.

Evenings are for comfort and connection, with soups, stews, Sunday roasts and early nights as we ease towards the festive season. As the darker nights draw in, I love lighting the candles to change the vibe of the house from a work day to family time and chilling!
We are producing our next batch of our eau de parfum Wild Horses, which is super exciting. With its handmade leather case, it’s the perfect scent for this time of year. Light floral notes of orris and honeyed osmanthus bring a soft, suede-like texture that lingers beautifully on the skin.
