Can you believe it’s November already? The pace is picking up, our calendar is filling fast, and Christmas sales and events are in full swing.
We kicked things off at Chez Lui in Notting Hill, and it was such a joy - everyone arrived early and no one really left. Champagne was flowing, new friends were made, old friends caught up, and the festive season officially began. Having only managed to work out three times last month (so easy to let it slide when life gets busy) I’ve signed up for a 45-day gym challenge with my friend Kate to try and squeeze in as many sessions as we can before Christmas. With extra points for training together, the goal is three times a week.
I’m also reminding myself not to go out two nights in a row - I need my sofa evenings. The new season of The Morning Show is so good, and All Her Fault has me completely hooked. Plus, every time I go out, my bedroom ends up covered in clothes, so I need at least a day in between to recover and tidy up.

This month’s muse

Jeff Goldblum—what a legend. I had the fortune of meeting him recently when he was performing with his band, The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra. Not only a brilliant actor, but also a singer and pianist, and the voice! We were all mesmerised when he spoke to the audience. I especially loved him as Zeus in the Netflix series Kaos, the wardrobe was too good. He is such an icon it was a real treat to chat with him.
Fashion

My great friend and super stylist, Tracy Mohally, has created the Portobello Cape in collaboration with Planet Loving Company. Inspired by one of her favourite vintage finds, this velvet cape feels instantly iconic – the kind of piece you’ll treasure for years.
At our event on the 20th Nov you’ll be able to preorder the first Portobello Capes in time for Christmas. We are all beyond excited to welcome such a special piece into our wardrobes. After all, who doesn’t need a velvet cape? Totally cool and elegant, it goes with dresses, leather trousers and even jeans. Just keep it away from your daughters, otherwise you might never see it again! If
If you’d like to come and try one ahead of placing a preorder, please email Tabby at tabby@planetlovingcompany.com or reply to this email for event details!
Beauty
Finally had my nails done again after giving them some airtime to recover. It worked, but they looked pretty awful, so I caved and nipped into Richmond’s Glamour Nails for extra length and a deep burgundy red. I now keep tapping them on everything, it’s so funny having them long but also kind of hard to type.
However, after months of painting them myself in the car on the way to meetings (nail varnish everywhere), it’s a treat and also makes me feel like I’ve got my life together, even if that’s not entirely true.
I’ve recently learnt that manifesting isn’t about wanting, but about alignment, so I’m aligning myself with grace, good fortune, organisation and calm. It’s a work in progress, but the good nails are helping.
Out & about

Very exciting news: there’s a new restaurant opening in Richmond, The Tower House, owned by the team behind Gold in Notting Hill. It’s a super cool hangout with fantastic food, cocktails, and the best riverside spot. Opening this weekend, with their huge terrace ready in a few weeks, it’s going to be a great hangout for locals and visitors alike. They’ve chosen to stock our hand washes, lotions, and Walk on the Wild Side diffusers, which suits the vibe perfectly. Come and try them out and enjoy the best view of the river, it’s just on Richmond Bridge.
The well-being edit
Starting my mornings with fresh-grated ginger, lemon, and honey to keep colds at bay. My friend Seb, the herbalist, also does the best fresh elderberry for immunity, so we’re keeping a bottle in the fridge. For coughs, Dr Reckeweg’s R8 is brilliant. If you're interested in preventative health care, Ainsworth on Cavendish Street is a great homoeopathic pharmacy. You can call or pop in, their on-site homoeopaths can recommend a remedy for anything. Their cold and flu blend is a lifesaver.
Nature
Richmond Park is spectacular right now as the last of the autumn leaves are falling, and the crunch underfoot and the musty scent of old leaves is divine. It’s perfect for long walks with the dog. When the frost comes, if you can arrive early, it’s magical; the frozen cobwebs and the hovering mist are truly breathtaking.
Something that’s made me happy

We have our first edition of our new After Midnight eau de parfum. Created for us by the brilliant, multi-award-winning perfumer Marina Barcenilla, whom I am so lucky to have in my life, this fragrance has been two years in the making and has been a real labour of love. I can’t thank her enough for being so brilliant and so generous. We are completely in love with its hypnotic and intoxicating white florals and think you will be captivated too.
Next week at our event in Notting Hill, I’ll have the first few bottles, each in a beautiful dark green suede case made by our local three-generation leather craftsmen, and I am so excited to share them with you.
With love,
Tilly & the Aja team x
